Change a sample you already sent
For: all plans
There are two ways to change a sample, depending on what you want.
Fix a few things: update the page
Use this when you edited the sample and want the owner to see your changes on the same link.
- On the business, click Open in the Studio.
- Make your changes. They're saved as you go.
- Back on the business, click Update the page with my edits, then Update the page.
After you change a scene, the sample's movie page lists the scenes you changed. Click Open the business there to go straight to Update the page with my edits.
The link you sent stays the same, and so does its view count. The page keeps the old video until the new one is ready. It uses about 1 credit for each scene you edited, plus about 1 for the page.
Start over: make a new sample
Use this when you want a completely new video for the business.
- On the business, click Make a new sample, then Make it.
- Your current sample stays until the new one is ready. It counts as one of your sample videos and uses credits, like the first one.
- When it's ready, your sample page moves to the new sample. The link and its view count stay the same, but the page keeps showing your earlier sample for now.
- To show the new sample, click Update the page with my edits, then Update the page.
No page yet? Click Make the sample page to send.
Good to know:
- Once your client has paid for a sample, it can't be changed or replaced. To change the full video, open it in the Studio.
- If a new sample or an update doesn't finish, nothing changes: your earlier sample and page stay as they were. You can try again.
- New link is different. It turns off the old link completely. Use it only if you want the old link to stop working.
Text that's too long: each text box fits a set number of characters, shown by the counter under it, like 12/20. If a change doesn't fit, Explaindio keeps your earlier text and says "Too long for this box." Shorten the line and try again.
